Box Score BATON ROUGE, LA -- After a long day on the diamond, the Jaguars (0-9) dropped its second game of the day to the Warhawks of ULM (3-2).
Although the game came to an early end due to field lighting issues, it was a hard fought loss for the Lady Jaguars as the final score was 3-2. SU was able to hold their own in this matchup, hanging tight with the Warhawks.
Southern got on the board first after leadoff,
Kalea Brown, was hit by a pitch.
Lauren Parks came up right behind her with a triple to right center that allowed Brown to score the first point of the game.
The Warhawks and the Jaguars held each other scoreless in the second inning. The Warhawks responded with a bunt to get a runner on base followed by a stolen base and a double down the left field line to score the runner tying the game 1-1.
ULM scored two more points in the top of the fifth as Southern scored only one more in the bottom of the fifth with another RBI single to center from Parks, scoring Brown.
Kaytlin Donaldson took both losses for the Jaguars on Wednesday.
Lauren Parks led the team in hits (2) and RBIs (2).
Paytin Mercado also added two hits.

The Lady Jaguars will take on another non-conference opponent, North Alabama, Friday, February 26 at Lady Jaguars Field. First pitch is set for 1:00 pm with game 2 to follow.
