BATON ROUGE, LA--The Lady Jaguars (6-11, 5-6) opened the SWAC cluster against the Alabama A&M Bulldogs with a three to zero sweep.

In the first set, the Jags jumped out with a quick lead against the Bulldogs granting them a 17-9 advantage. As the Bulldogs closed in on the Jags, they were unable to stop the Jags from scoring, as the first set ended in extra points with a score of 26-24.

Coming into the second set, the stamina of the Jags was clearly visible as they proceeded to have 17 kills and held the lead to take the second straight victory from the Bulldogs.  They took set two with a score of 25-20.

Set three, the Bulldogs came with a little more energy as they held a strong back and forth game with the Jags. A tie between the two started a tension felt set closing in 20-20. The Bulldogs took the lead at 23-22, until SU put their last bit of energy into coming back and closing the set with a 25-23 lead.Â

Kyla Carrier led with 2 aces with Taylor andÂ
Nyah Alexander following with 1 ace respectively.Â
Ryleigh Taylor led the team in assists, setting her teammates up 16 times.Â
