PINE BLUFF, AR. – The Southern University Jaguars (2-3, 1-1) travel to Pine Bluff, Arkansas to continue Southwestern Athletic Conference play with a game against the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (1-4, 0-3) on Saturday, October 16
th at Simmons Bank Field, kick set for 2:00 p.m.
The game will be broadcasted live on ESPN+. Southern own a 38-11-2 advantage in the series with UAPB, which dates back to October 15, 1949. The last meeting SU fell short to the Lions by a score of 33-30 on March 6, 2021, during the Spring season.

Devon Benn who is averaging 72.8 yards per game followed by
Kobe Dillon who is averaging 63.3 yards per game on a total of 36 carries.
Craig Nelson is averaging 7.8 yards per carry on 27 carries in four games played.
Defense Jags, Defense
Camron Peterson and
Chase Foster lead the Jaguars in tackles with 27 and 25 respectively.
Ray Anderson moves up to the third spot with 23 total tackles added by one tackle for loss and a forced fumble.
Jordan Lewis continues his pursuit to leave his name in the national record books for total sacks. He now has 33 sacks along with being the FCS leader in sacks per game (0.97).
Lead By Example
In five games this season, the 5-8 180 pound running back from New Orleans, Louisiana,
Devon Benn has rushed for 364 yards on 71 carries with three rushing scores which makes him the team's leading rusher averaging 72.8 yards a game. He has also caught four passes for 25 yards and one score.
Benn recorded a season high in rushing yards in his last outing against Texas Southern with 151 yards on the ground.
