BATON ROUGE, LA -- The Jaguars cruise past Mississippi Valley 95-62 for dominating win at the F.G. Clark Activity Center Monday night in front of a crowd of more than 3,400 fans.

Damiree Burns led SU with a game-high 19 points off the bench, he shot 7-of-8 from the free throw line and added seven rebounds. Graduate transfer
Micah Bradford added 16 points and a game-high six assists. Senior forward
Darius Williams finished the night with 11 points, game-high three blocks and his second double-double of the season finishing with 12 rebounds.
Southern built its largest lead in the first half up 21 points heading into the locker room 51-30. In the second half SU built a 37 point lead with 2:01 left to play in regulation. The Jaguars had the lead for 38:29 of the game that had only two lead changes and was tied once. The Jaguars outscored MVSU 34-9 on fast break points as well as off the bench 45-14. SU shot 47 percent for the game (34-for-72) and 36 percent from three-point range (5-14). The Jaguars shot 76 percent form free throw line (22-29).
