But on a night where the Race Horse Offense ran roughshod over the Marauders, it was the SU Dog Day Defense that stole the show. The Jags defense held Central State (0-3) to 44 total yards (-11 rushing, 55 passing).
Southern also picked off four passes and had three sacks.
Defensively for SU, sophomore, Justin Fletcher, led the Jags with six tackles, including one tackle for loss yards. Junior, Marcus Clark; sophomore, Demetrius Bentley and freshman Brandon Turner each had four tackles, with Turner also making his first career sack.

Southern's 68-0 win is the largest margin of victory in the PETE RICHARDSON's era, and is the most points scored since SU's 65-0 win over Allen University in 2003.
Also, with his 81 yards on five catches, Juamorris Stewart moves into third place on Southern's All-Time Leading Receiving Yards list with 1,900 career yards.
Southern returns to AW Mumford Stadium next week, to host the Tigers of Tennessee State University at 6:00 pm.
