Reign Burke, a native of Gulfport, Mississippi, brings energy, precision, and creativity to the Strategic Communications Department at Southern University Athletics, where she has been a dedicated contributor for three years.
Burke serves as the primary baseball and softball statistician and assists with men’s and women’s basketball, playing a vital role in game-day operations, live statistics, and media support. She also serves as the main statistician for volleyball, the official scribe for football statistics, and a spotter for soccer, showcasing her versatility across multiple sports.
In addition, Burke has led the statistics staff for the Bayou Classic for three consecutive years, helping manage one of the most high-profile and tradition-rich events in HBCU athletics. Her ability to perform under pressure and maintain accuracy in fast-paced environments has made her a trusted presence within the department.
Academically, Burke is pursuing a degree in Business Marketing with a minor in Mass Communication, allowing her to combine strategic thinking, creativity, and effective communication while supporting the storytelling and operational success of Jaguar Athletics.
