Southern University

Tinnequo Lightfoot-Ross is entering her 10th year at Southern University and her first as interim head Track & Field Coach. She previously served as an assistant coach for eight years. She is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur Texas. Coach Ross was chosen as Who's Who among High School Athletes in Track & Field in 1990. While at Southern University, she participated and won several SWAC titles from 1992-1996 in Track & Field shot put and discus events. Tinnequo received her Bachelor's degree in Sociology/Law Enforcement from Southern University 1996. She received her Master's Degree in Criminal Justice; Investigations concentration from Southern University December 2007 and has 30 + hrs in Public Administration; Finance concentration. She dedicated herself thru sports and counseling to working with youth and young adults. Tinnequo has been recognized for good sportsmanship and team player. She was also chosen as Who's Who among Americas Educators and Teachers in Athletics in 2007.
