Coach Teremine White is entering his eighth season as the Head Men’s and Women’s Track & Field and 2nd year as Head Cross Country Coach.

While at Southern University, White helped Southern Men’s and Women’s Track & Field team’s place in the top half of the conference indoor and outdoor since 2015. Men’s Cross Country also performed in the top half of the conference in 2021. White has coached 5 outstanding Field performers 3 times, regional qualifier Dwayne Houston 2012-2014 (thrower), Kashmia Weary 2013 (thrower) and Reginald Redding 2016 (thrower). This includes 3 regional qualifiers, 41 SWAC Champions and 62 top 3 performers while at Southern University. White also coached 2 SWAC record holders Jamira Russ weight throw and Faith Estelle Hammer throw. In the past six seasons, over forty athletes have also made the SWAC All-Academic Team under White as the head Track & Field coach.

Prior to becoming the Head Track & Field coach at Southern University, White was the Assistant at Southern University (throws coach). In 2014 Whites’ throwers helped Southern Men’s and Women’s teams place 2nd at the SWAC outdoor championship meet. In 2013 and 2014 the throwers scored over 100 points combined men and women at the SWAC Outdoor championships, and scored over 50 points combined at the SWAC Indoor championships. Over the 2011–2014-time span, White produced 10 SWAC conference champions and 20 top 3 performers.

Prior to Whites coaching career he was a 2-time NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) Division I national qualifier in the Discus in 2006 and 2008. He was also the 2006 and 2008 Southland conference outdoor champion in the discus throw and 2008 Southland Conference champion in the shotput. White was the Southland Conference Outstanding Field performer at the 2008 Southland conference outdoor championships. White was named Southland conference athlete of the week 5 times. He is also a part of the 50th Anniversary All Southland Conference Outdoor Track & Field team. White held both the shotput and discus record at Southeastern Louisiana University before he graduated. Currently, Whites’ discus mark of 59.15 meters (194-01) is #2 all time in school history and his shotput mark of 17.84 meters (58-07) is #3 all time in school history.

White has received three Professional Memberships: USTFCCCA, USATF Certifications: USTFCCA Certified Strength and Conditioning, USATF Level -1, USTFCCA Head Coaches Certified

The Donaldsonville, LA native earned his bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in General Studies with a concentration in Kinesiology. White was also team captain of his collegiate Track & Field team.

White is married to Tawanna Williams-White and have 2 children, Mali and Tameron White.
