BATON ROUGE, La. — Southern University cross country has announced its 2026 competition schedule, featuring seven meets throughout the season, including conference, regional and national championship competition.
 
The Jaguars open the season on September 4 at the LSU New Orleans Battle for New Orleans, held at Lake Oaks Park. Southern will then compete at the LSU Invitational on September 18 at the LSU UREC Field Complex.
 
The schedule continues on September 26 at the McNeese Cowboy Stampede at the Enos Derbonne Sports Complex before the Jaguars travel to compete in the Nicholls XC Invitational Presented by Walk-On's on October 3 at Nicholls Farm.
 
Southern will compete for conference supremacy at the SWAC Cross Country Championships on October 27 at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida.
 
The postseason continues on November 13 at the NCAA Regional Championships hosted at Texas A&M's Watts Cross Country Course.
 
The season culminates on November 21 at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Terre Haute, Indiana, at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
