HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Southern University bowling team added two more victories on Saturday, highlighting day two of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Round Up at Pin Palace Lanes in Huntsville, Alabama.

Southern opened the day against league-leading Jackson State but struggled to find its rhythm, falling 878–775.

The Lady Jaguars quickly rebounded in their next match, posting a strong 913–817 win over Prairie View A&M. Four Southern bowlers topped the 170 mark, led by
Alanna Jones' game-high 213. Maria Molia Diaz followed with a 192, while
Darian Mobley rolled a 183 and
Mikayla Stephens added a 178 to fuel the victory.

Momentum carried into the third match as Southern edged Alabama State, 847–839. Molina Diaz paced the lineup with a 198,
Angel Stein contributed a 192, and Jones rounded out the scoring leaders with a 173.

Scores dipped over the final two matches of the day, as Southern dropped an 873–838 decision to Florida A&M before falling 942–790 to Texas Southern in the finale. Against the Rattlers, Molina Diaz led the way with a 191, while Stephens posted a 177. Molina Diaz closed out the day with a 203 against Texas Southern, with Jones adding a 171.

Through two days of competition, Molina Diaz sits second overall at the Round Up with a total of 1,885 pins, averaging 188.5. On the season, she ranks seventh in the SWAC with a 184.89 average (3,513 pins) across 19 games and currently stands fourth among conference freshmen.
