BATON ROUGE, La. — Southern University will close out the Southwestern Athletic Conference regular season with 14 matches this weekend at the SWAC Round-Up, hosted at Pin Palace Lanes in Huntsville, Alabama.

The Lady Jaguars posted an 8–6 record during the first round-up. Southern opened the weekend with four wins on Friday, managed one victory on Saturday, and capped the event with three more wins on Sunday.
 
Maria Molina Diaz led Southern with a 187.67 average (1,689 pins) over nine games, ranking seventh overall in the conference. Alanna Jones and Mikayla Stephens were the only Lady Jaguars to compete in all 14 games, with Jones averaging 175.9 (2,463 pins) and Stephens posting a 174.36 average (2,441 pins).
 
Southern faces an uphill battle in pursuit of its fourth consecutive SWAC regular-season championship. The Lady Jaguars currently sit fourth in the standings, with Jackson State leading at 12–2. Alabama State and Texas Southern are tied for second at 9–5.
