BATON ROUGE, La. – The Southern University bowling team wraps up its fall schedule this weekend, traveling down I-10 to compete in the Colonial Lanes Classic hosted by Tulane. The three-day event will take place Nov. 21–23 at Colonial Lanes in Harahan, Louisiana.

Southern enters the weekend after a strong performance at the Bearcat Invitational, where the Lady Jaguars placed 14th overall with a total pinfall of 11,252 and a 167.9 team average. Southern recorded 4,097 pins in Friday's Baker sets, 4,386 pins in traditional team play, and 2,769 pins during bracket action.
 
Freshman standout Maria Molina Diaz delivered another impressive outing, finishing eighth overall among more than 120 competitors. She posted her second consecutive five-game set in the plus, rolling a 1,013 series for a 202.6 average. She was one of only 10 bowlers at the event to finish above 200.
 
Senior Darian Mobley continued her steady production, ranking second on the team with an 885 series (177.0 avg.). Za'Viara Williams also turned in a strong weekend, averaging 170.5 with a 682 across four games—making her the only other Southern bowler to finish at or above a 170 average.
 
The Lady Jaguars also carry marquee wins into the weekend, including victories over No. 24 Oklahoma Christian (913–870) at the Bulldog Classic and No. 11 Sacred Heart (913–896) at the Bearcat Invitational.
