BATON ROUGE, La. | Southern clinched their fourth series win in conference play Saturday during a doubleheader at home vs University of Arkansas Pine Bluff. SU won the first game 3-0 and the second game 1-0.

A little bit of history took place on Saturday in Game 2 as Miranda Roldan (5-3) put together an outstanding outing on the way to a perfect game no-hitter with 13 strikeouts. The Jaguars had five players pick up hits in the win. Alana Mark hit a two-run homerun and Anabella Valadez finished with an RBI.

In the third game, Southern (13-17, 9-6) was held to just four hits, one by Asia George, Sydney Wesley, Alissa Castaneda and Aylani Ottley. Kairah Williams (2-6) got the win, working 7.0 innings striking out five batters and only allowing three hits.

How It Happened (Game 2)

(B1) Asia George singled, Anabella Valadez grounded out to advance George to second, Alana Mark hit a two-run home run to right field, Southern 2-0
(B3) Aylani Ottley scored, Southern 3-0.
(T7) Miranda Roldan struck out two batters, the third UAPB batter pop fly in the infield for the last out.

(B1) Asia George tripled
(B1) Sydney Wesley singled, to score George, Southern 1-0.
