BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference has named Southern's Nicholas Scott its SWAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week and Kevon Hamilton its SWAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week for their outstanding performances during competition this past week.
 
 Scott ran a personal best in the 800 Meters at LSU's Bengal Relays, crossing the finish line with a time of 1:49.03 to take first place. 
 
Hamilton had a jump of 14.79 meters, landing him in first place in the triple jump at LSU's Bengal Relays.

The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) is considered one of the premier HBCU conferences in the country and currently ranks among the elite in the nation in terms of HBCU alumni playing with professional sports teams.
