Lubbock, Texas—The Southern University softball team closed out their trip to Lubbock, Texas with a second round of contests against the University of North Texas and the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SU 7 – UNT 24
- North Texas scored runs in the first, third and fourth innings before the Lady Jaguars went on a scoring run of their own in the fourth.

Kalea Brown scored the first run for SU followed by Kameron Adkins on a double to right field by
Julia York.
- The Lady Jaguars had 19 plate appearances with five hits, and seven runs scored.
Alissa Castaneda led the teams in runners batted in with two, and as a team SU had five RBI's.

Lauren Parks scored the game's first run on a single to center field by
Alana Mark.
- The Red Raiders went onto score 13 runs during the first four innings, before
Parks scored the game's final run of the game on a SAC bunt by
Cameron Andrews in the fifth.
- The Lady Jaguars had 20 plate appearances with six hits, and five left on base.
UP NEXT
The Lady Jaguars return back to the state of Louisiana for a contest against Nicholls. First pitch will be at 6:00 p.m.
