BATON ROUGE, LA. -- This week in Southern University Athletics - February 1-7, 2021.

The Southern Lady Jaguars volleyball team opens up Southwestern Athletic Conference play, while the soccer team opens up spring season and men's and women's basketball teams host a doubleheader.
 
The Southern men's and women's basketball teams are both coming off big road wins at Alcorn State and host in-state rival Grambling State on Saturday for a 2:00 pm tip-off inside the F.G. Clark Activity Center. 

Lady Jaguars volleyball team (0-1, 0-1 SWAC) continues league play on Monday, hosting Grambling State for a 6:00 pm match in Seymour Gym. On Sunday, SU continues its season-opening four-match home stand with a 1:00 pm match versus Jackson State.
