BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Southern's Helaun Mulligan along with Alabama A&M's K'la Barnes-Blackwood and Laura Jansa for SWAC Soccer Weekly Honors for their outstanding performances during this past week of non-conference play.

Offensive Player of the Week
Mulligan leads the Lady Jaguars in scoring as she is currently ranked at the top of the league in points (6) and goals (3). Against Florida Gulf Coast and Florida Atlantic, she posted four shots, two shots on goal, and scored two goals.

Defensive Player of the Week
Barnes-Blackwood produced a tremendous effort over three games this past week and was a key factor in each. In those games, she played 201 minutes and helped anchor a defense that produced two shutouts.

Goalkeeper of the Week
Jansa was a key factor in the Lady Bulldogs' shutout success this past week of competition. Against Jacksonville State and Jacksonville, she faced a total of 26 shots while tallying 12 saves.

Current championship competition offered by the league includes competition for men in Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field, and Tennis.

Women's competition is offered in the sports of Basketball, Bowling, Cross Country, Golf, Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, and Volleyball.
